The Messengers/Nick Bunick/444
by Kay Seliskar
Before going into a bookstore, I typically send up a prayer
asking for the angels to guide me to the right books with the right messages
that I am to heed at a given time. In the summer of 1997, after sending up such
a prayer, the angels led me to The Messengers. I had never heard anything
about the book, or the subject of the book, a man named Nick Bunick, but I
trusted the heavenly guidance. I read the non-fiction book twice, and everything
resonated deep within me as truth. It also answered a lot of puzzling questions
that I had been pondering. Nick Bunick is an extremely successful businessman
who, after angelic intervention, is now dedicating his life to spreading the key
messages of Jesus: universal love, universal compassion and living in truth.
When I read The Messengers, many passages echoed
exactly what God has planted in my heart and mind. The first time I read the
book I highlighted the following. “Boris
believed that, basically, people are good. Humanity needed to be reminded of its
own potential, the magnificence of our collective good will. The more love we
give, Boris insisted, the more love permeates the world. Nick’s vision was
similar. He saw a world ruled by universal compassion, truth, and love.”
Another key passage I marked (which gave me goose bumps
because it was the same message I was given) was where Paul/Nick said, “I
believe I’m getting my inspiration from my love for Jeshua [Jesus], and my
commitment to him. If it takes time, it takes time. But I know that it will
continue to grow, and I have to plant the seeds…So I want to plant as many
seeds as I can so they will grow.” (God has told me to be a ‘Johnny
Appleseed’ and that He will give me the seeds to plant. See Journey of the Heart.)
I subscribed to the Messenger Newsletter and bookmarked the
website. I knew that someday I wanted to hear Nick speak in person. I kept
watching for his upcoming symposium dates. As each of the Messenger Newsletters
came, the articles connected and reinforced the common path we seemed to be on.
Issue #3, which arrived right before we hit the road in Jan. '98, especially
seemed to be a confirmation of what we are also called to do. The first article
was about “people helping people” and urging each person to make a
difference through acts of kindness. One of my motivational speeches is called
“Fingerprints on the Heart” and focuses on recognizing the people who have
left positive fingerprints on our hearts, plus I encourage everyone to be
intentional in leaving positive fingerprints on the hearts of the world. The
second article told of Julia Ingram’s call to “hit the road” and follow
where the Spirit leads—almost identical to the call we heard. The connection
kept growing…
At the end of January 1998, our first month on the road, I
was on a business trip to Phoenix. I checked out the Messenger’s website and
saw that Nick would be speaking in Naples,FL on February 27th. Our ‘home’ was
parked in central Florida at the time—just a one-day drive from Naples. I also
checked my engagement book and realized I would fly back to Florida from another
training engagement on February 26th. I sent up a prayer for guidance
as to whether or not I should make the arrangements to attend. In the book, the
numbers 444 are a special sign from the angels that signified their support and
the love of God.
Well, the next morning, I awoke at 4:43 am and watched the
clock change to 4:44. The following morning, I awoke at 4:45 am—close again.
The third morning I awoke with a start at 4:44 am—the angels wanted to make
sure I was wide-awake and recognized the sign! When I returned to Florida, I
told my husband, Tom, about the 444 signs and my intention to go to Naples. I
asked if he also wanted to go. He agreed, and then he turned around and happened
to glance at our thermometer. The outdoor temperature was 44.4 degrees. He
grinned and said, “I guess I really am supposed to go, right?” We ordered
our tickets that day, and we both read The Messengers again.
One February 27th we moved our home to the
Naples area. As we were driving to the symposium that evening, it was raining.
Suddenly, sun broke through the clouds and a double rainbow appeared. It remained in the sky as we completed the
journey. We basked in the glow of God’s love and His promise of guidance. We
arrived about an hour early so we could get seats toward the front. We didn’t
want to miss a thing. As the people gathered, the church was filled with a
loving energy. Tom and I could both feel the vibrations. While we could not see
the angels, we could feel their tremendous presence. We knew we were sitting in
a sacred space.
As Nick began to speak, we both heard and felt the truth of
the message. The love coming from his heart was palpable. We were greatly moved.
The spiritual healing he did at the end was very powerful. Nick’s message was
a gift to us all. Tom and I have used the three key messages he shared
(universal love, universal compassion and living in truth) to guide our paths
each day. We sometimes fall short, but we come back to those touchstones as
beacons, which guide our way. We pray that Jesus will continue to guide us to
becoming fellow messengers of love.
Tom and I knew we wanted to talk to Nick and make an
initial connection, so we waited over an hour for the greeting line to end. We
knew he must be exhausted, so we kept our exchange brief. I gave Nick a business
card, and he encouraged me to write and remind him of our conversation. It took
me a while to get around to writing, but the angels made sure I didn’t forget.
In mid-May Tom and I were in Utah poised to head for Lake
Tahoe and then Yosemite. (For several months we had planned to go there our
first spring on the road.) The morning before our departure I woke up and said
to Tom, “I don’t think we’re supposed to go to California now. It doesn’t
feel right.”
“It doesn’t feel right to me any longer, either,” he
replied. “Where do you think we’re supposed to go?”
“The Columbia River Gorge between Washington and Oregon.
I don’t know why, but that’s where we’re to go,” I said.
“That feels right to me, too,” said Tom. Spirit was
nudging us both, so we changed our plans and prepared to leave.
The next morning I was awakened at 4:44 am with a voice
commanding me to “Write the letter.” I knew the angels meant for me to write
to Nick Bunick, so I did. Perhaps we were to meet up with Nick since he lives
near Portland. I knew it might take a while for Nick to get the letter, as he
might be on the road quite a bit. We trusted that whatever was meant to happen
would be in the highest good.
We spent two weeks in the Columbia River Gorge. We checked
for a message from Nick each day, but there was none. We trusted that everything
was truly happening perfectly, so we thought that maybe we had been brought to
this area for a different reason. Then, on Saturday, May 30, Tom and I were both
awakened at 4:44 am. Tom had a message from the angels so strongly in his mind
that he had to get up and write it down. (See Waterfall Message)
My message that I also received at 4:44 am (a.k.a. 'angel
time') was: "Light the path. Show the
way."
We figured we’d be hearing from Nick shortly. After a
couple more days with no word, we decided that maybe we should head for the
Oregon coast on Tuesday or Wednesday. But the angels had another idea…
I was expecting a business package to be mailed to me at a
nearby post office. Even though I had stressed that it must be mailed,
the person sent it UPS by mistake. The post office wouldn’t accept delivery,
so we thought we’d have to stay in the area another day and drive 45 miles to
the UPS center to get our package. Even though it was a bit frustrating, I
sensed a purpose in the delay. We had checked for messages only a few minutes
earlier, but I told Tom I wanted to check messages again. Sure enough, there was
a call from Nick. He had just read our letter and was anxious to meet with us.
We called him back and set up our meeting for Thursday. The angels had made sure
we didn’t leave before the connection was made. They even made it possible for
us to get our package later that same day by meeting up with the UPS driver in a
nearby town.
Our lunch with Nick Bunick was wonderful, comfortable,
affirming and filled with energy. Tom and I could both feel the energy vibrating
in our bodies. We made lots of notes afterward and have pondered a lot more on
the ideas that were shared. Nick was in the process of writing a book the angels
told him to name "In God's Truth." In addition, he shared that he had
been "directed by Spirit to begin a wave of spiritual consciousness that
literally can be joined by millions of people around the world." It was to
start on 4/4/99 (Tom's BD--how about that!) at 4:44 pm in Washington, DC and
spread around the country (and hopefully the world) as each time zone would hit
4:44pm. This prayer was to be repeated on the 4th Sunday of every
month thereafter, helping to build a wave of spiritual consciousness across the
world. Here is the prayer that Nick was given:
"Dear
God, We acknowledge that You are our creator, our Father and our Mother, and we
love You and are grateful for the gifts You have given to us. We are honored
that You blessed us with immortality by anointing us with Your spirit.
Jesus,
we acknowledge You as our Father's beloved Son, our Brother, and as our
spiritual guide. We love You and are grateful for the example that You provided
us through Your life while on earth.
Our
loving angel guides, we acknowledge that you are the Messengers of God who watch
over us, protecting us, and inspiring us.
We
ask You our Dear Lord, Jesus and our angels, in Your unbounded mercy, that You
forgive us who are Your loving children, for our past failures to think, speak
and act according to Your will. We repent for every word and every deed that has
given pain to others. We ask You, with all our heart and our strength, in total
humility, to cleanse our spirits and our souls with Your love and Your light.
We
humbly ask that You accept our commitment to live our lives, from this moment
on, in accordance with Your laws, embracing universal love, universal compassion
and living in truth.
We
thank You, Lord, for healing all of our spiritual wounds, and we shall always
remain faithful in our commitment to You from this moment on.
AMEN"
When we parted after lunch, we knew we had made a strong
connection with a fellow Messenger. Thanks, angels!
